Alice Marie Harris
January 12 - January 13, 2014
Just 38 hours after coming into the world, Alice Marie Harris passed away peacefully in her parents' arms at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Syracuse, NY. During that fleeting time, she touched many lives and was loved by all who met her.
Born nearly eight weeks early and weighing only 3 lbs, 4 oz, Alice was still able to grip her mother's finger and respond to her father's touch during her brief stay on earth. She had a few wisps of dark hair and the acclaimed Harris nose. She was born at 2:33 a.m. on January 12 and died the next day at 4:18 p.m.
Alice joins her grandmother, Sue Harris; her uncle, Mark Goodman; and her great-grandfather, Lou Harris, in heaven. She is survived by her mother and father, Dean and Gina Harris; her brothers, Sam and Kyle Harris; her sister Linda Harris; her grandparents, Dan and Kayla Goodman; and her grandfather, Matthew Harris.
A funeral service will take place at St. Therese Cemetery at 3:00 p.m. on January 18. Alice will be interred alongside her grandmother Sue, who would have loved her dearly. Flowers and condolences may be sent to 123 2nd St. Syracuse, NY 13120. The family would like to thank the Good Samaritan Hospital staff for their effort and dedication.
